Project Bio
‘Light at the End of the Tunnel’ was a Cross River Partnership project with the London Borough’s of Lambeth and Southwark, Network Rail and Transport for London.
The Tenison Way sub-project (between Waterloo Rail and Bus Stations) has greatly improved the quality of the pedestrian experience, legibility and perceptions of safety. As part of this project, Boyce, Whichcote, Buckley and Mepham Street tunnels were cleaned painted and fitted with pigeon proofing measures. Purpose designed amenity lighting as well as feature mosaics and LED lighting were installed as part of the design.
