Project Bio

Designed as a satelite to Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan the proposed city masterplan employs the polycentric model of spatial development, working around site constraints, including existing industry and  delicate ‘perched lakes’ left over as the Caspian Sea has receeded. The Masterplan explores how less tangible aims such as fostering ‘a sense belonging’ can be supported through the design and development process.
