Project Bio
AN ATKINS PROJECT.
In September 2002 Streatham High Road was named as the worst high street in Britain in a Radio 4/Commission for the Built Environment (CABE) listeners poll.
Close working with Lambeth ensured that a clear picture was disseminated to the community though update leaflets and via the Streatham Festival which the project also sponsored.
The final phase in the heart of Streatham included the installation of 34 espaliered lime trees, twenty five of which formed a continuous green ribbon, which replace the existing raised planted bed in the central median. Internally illuminated gateway signage designed by Ludwig also featured in this phase.
