THE STRELKA INSTITUTE DESIGN REVIEW PROJECT

Scope

Ludwig was contracted by The Strelka Institute to provide design review advice and technical specialist services over a two month period, partially in Moscow. The focus was The Garden Ring project, a route that was originally laid out in the 19th century as a 16km garden corridor circling the centre of the City, transformed during the 20th Century into a major highway.

Ludwig was contracted to The Strelka Institute undertaking design review workshops in Moscow and remotely.

THE STRELKA INSTITUTE DESIGN REVIEW PROJECT

Project Bio

Ludwig initially undertook a wholesale review of the design to date with a key focus on maintainability and climatic impacts. He also provided specialist technical advice related to green infrastructure delivery and the protection of existing services, WSUD opportunities in cold climates and the importance of forward procurement, including a developing European plant supply strategy.
